Salut Louise je suis d’Israel et j’ador ton blog!! Il est vraiment fantastique et je te trouve tré belle..je suis aussi d’origines juives-polonaises et je vais bientot en pologne avec l’ecole est la tu m’a donné envi d’y aller!!!

Bonjour Louise !

Je suis ton blog depuis quelque temps en toute discrétion ;-)
mais j’ai envie de commenter pour la première fois aujourd’hui parce que tu parles de ce magnifique cimetière à Varsovie (il y règne vraiment une atmosphère magique c’est vrai, en tout cas j’ai ressenti la même chose en y allant) et ensuite parce que tu évoques tes origines juives-polonaises, et cela m’interpelle parce que j’ai les mêmes origines, et puis aussi parce qu’il est vrai que tu te dévoiles aujourd’hui de manière assez inhabituelle comme l’a fait remarquer Miss Vian…

Alors voilà, juste une phrase très longue pour te remercier de cette « intimité dévoilée » si on peut appeler ça comme ça…
Au fait, ton nouveau blog est très joli, très « art nouveau » j’aime beaucoup !!

I am originally from Bucharest, Romania and though the city is ugly, I see so much beauty and magic and charm everywhere I went (when I went back to visit in 2005). I totally see where you are coming from.

Well, I am also surprised that you have polish origins ! I am from Varsovie, Warsaw or Warszawa, I dont know how do you prefer to call it. I was born here and I admit I do really love this city. I totally agree with you, it is not beautiful, it’s rather shabby, ugly and eclectic looking. I really hate the fact that communistic blocs of flats, places like dworzec centralny are mixed with some modern sky-scrapers and 19th century houses, it looks rather crazy and undoubtedly you cannot compare it to Paris at all( however, it has some lovely buildings bulit 100, 200 years ago in some parts of the city like on Plac Trzech Krzyży or old tenements along Marszałkowska street) but I like its unique feeling and the fact that this city has a story to tell, story which was very tragic and painful at times. As Magdalena said the vast majority of Poles ( probably the older ones )would say that taking photos at cemetary is something you really shouldn’t do, but personally, I don’t see a problem here at all.
